Conrad Property Donation
Yakima River
Kittitas Conservation Trust was approached in November 2008 by the Conrad family about assuming fee simple ownership of a 1.65 acre Yakima River property about two miles downstream of Cle Elum in northern Kittitas County. The proposed donation by Kim Conrad, Co-Executor of the Philip L. Conrad Estate, created an opportunity to protect valuable Yakima River shoreline and floodplain property. The river channel has migrated onto the donated property and a land survey indicated that about a tenth of an acre is dry land. The Conrad property donation was accepted by action of the Board of Trustees in August 2009.
